    New

    • Project Files tab: a project's page has a Files tab beside Tasks and Settings for browsing the project's repository, with images and file links in Markdown files opening in place.
    • Generated images: agents can make photos and illustrations with the new generate_image tool, which uses OpenAI's image model through byre's Codex sign-in and shows the result inline in the transcript. Images that Codex agents make on their own also appear inline. Codex must be signed in on the Mac byre runs on.

    Fixed

    • Composer text survives continuing a task: text and images typed into a task's composer are kept when the task stops being active, so they are still there when you continue it.
    • Updates arrive sooner: the app checks for updates every hour, and a new release is offered as soon as it is published instead of after a cached appcast expires.
    • Releases supersede deploys: a Mac running a deployed build of a commit is offered the release of that commit through the updater.

    Install

    Download byre-0.2.3.dmg and drag Byre.app to Applications; Macs already running 0.2.2 get this through the app's updater. The disk image's SHA-256 is in byre-0.2.3.dmg.sha256.
