    New

    • Review workflows and a workflow editor: workflows are now trees of stages, with review workflows that run when a task is ready, deliver their findings together once every reviewer is done, and can be renamed or deleted. The Workflows tab has an editor, and the graph shows teams.
    • Background audits: byre can audit the newest commit of a project's default branch in the background; audits stay low-key until they have something for you. The project's audit and review workflows are picked as two labeled rows.
    • Multiple terminals and saved commands: a task can have several terminals, and a saved command opens a terminal that runs it, for things like signing in again to a credential.
    • byre client-exec: run a command on a connected Mac from a script or shell, with byre screen to check a screen's lock.
    • File tools for agents: agents get the same read, write, edit, grep and list tools on the server as on client Macs.
    • Lead wake_on tool: your lead agent can ask to be woken when a task merges or is discarded.
    • Atkinson Hyperlegible Next: the app's text uses Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, with Mono kept for code, and a separate code font size setting alongside the text size setting.
    • Paste and drop images: images can be pasted or dropped into every box that talks to an agent.
    • Quicker, calmer UI: the merge dialog opens instantly from facts the app already holds and Enter follows the merge action the task offers; task dialogs are centered in the task pane; question, ready, discard and finding cards share one design, with resolved cards in neutral colors; the task switcher starts focused on its list and Tab moves its highlight; Cmd-P focuses the Project tab's keyboard; the task list has an empty state; finished workflow stages are labeled; notifications show the event label and first paragraph.
    • Quit with the window: closing the Mac app's window now quits it.
    • Shorter IDs: every ID byre creates is a short prefixed ID, and existing records are migrated.

    Fixed

    • Picker keys: arrow keys and Escape in pickers are no longer lost to the window.
    • Held merges: a held merge now starts as soon as the merge ahead of it finishes, and waits for the agent's turn instead of being dropped.
    • Merges, discards, reviews and workflow stages: these now decide from current state, so they no longer get stuck or repeat after a restart.
    • Tailscale sign-in: the sign-in credential is no longer readable by other local accounts.
    • Server signing: byre's own commits on the server are never signed, so a signing prompt nobody sees can no longer hang a turn.
    • Transcripts: transcripts of active visible tasks are preloaded again so task pages open instantly, and hidden audits are skipped.
