- Answer again: an answered question has an "Answer again" button that forks the task from the snapshot taken just before the answer reached the agent and sends the fork a different answer; the original task carries on untouched.
- Ignore a question: an open question has an "Ignore" button that dismisses it without answering; the agent is not told.
- Notes with a choice: a pick-one question's text box now sends your notes along with the choice you click.
- Agents can suggest discarding: when a task shouldn't land, its agent says so with its reasoning. The transcript shows a "suggests discarding" bubble with a Discard button, and the task reads "Ready to discard".
- Ready to merge in the task list: tasks whose agent says they're ready show "Ready to merge" or "Ready to discard" in the task list and the switcher, in the attention colour.
- Tasks sorted by what needs you: the task list and the ⌘K switcher put tasks with open questions first, then ready ones, then idle, working and merging ones.
- File paths link to the Files tab: file paths in agents' Markdown, in backticks, bare or as links, open that file in the task's Files tab.
- Quiet automatic updates: the app updates itself in the background and asks only whether to update now or on quit. A server-only Mac without the app running updates itself daily.
- Current server underlined: the chip of the server you're on is underlined in its colour.
- Reviewing outlines the transcript: the transcript's border lights up while a review runs, as it does while the agent works.
Fixed
- Notifications for answered questions: a question that was already answered or dismissed no longer raises a notification.
- Unread summaries: "new summary" shows only on idle tasks, and opening a task always goes to its attention items or the bottom, never to the summary.
- Markdown links with angle brackets: links written as
[text](<url>)now work. - Merge dialog title: the edit button no longer sits oddly beside a wrapped title.
- False agent warnings: Status no longer reports an agent that is still starting as missing or as a stray process.

- Usage commands: a vendor's usage and limits can now come from a command you set, which prints them in a vendor-neutral JSON format (windows with used amounts, limits, units and reset times). The Status tab's rate limits show them, including dollar and token amounts, with a pace bar for each window and when the figures were last updated.
- Knowledge base: agents can fetch short how-to articles on demand (turning on signed merge commits, writing a usage command) instead of carrying them in their standing instructions.
- Bash for agents: task agents can run shell commands in their worktree through byre, outside their own sandbox.
Fixed
- Quieter lead: the lead is no longer woken by state changes, reviews starting, or tasks you created, merged or discarded yourself; those arrive only alongside another signal. It is also asked to compact itself at a quarter of its context window instead of half.
- Interrupts stick: after you interrupt a task's agent, automated messages (teammates, byre, the board) no longer restart it on their own.
- Cancelled tool calls: when Claude cancels a tool call mid-flight, byre now stops the work instead of letting it run on.
- Tool paths: paths in tool calls are trimmed of the worktree prefix regardless of letter case.

- Questions and reviews in the transcript: open questions show as cards right in a task's transcript and shrink to a one-line record once answered; a finished review is a summary row followed by one row per finding, with Fix and Ignore on each. The separate Questions and Reviews tabs are gone.
- Attention buttons: at the transcript's top right, buttons count open questions, unanswered review findings and the current ready-for-merge overview; each click scrolls to the next one, and answering one moves on to the next. Picking a task from ⌘K opens it at its oldest open question or unread summary.
- Ready for merge: agents report a task as ready to merge with an overview of the work, shown in the transcript and passed to your lead agent. Agents also answer review findings themselves (fixing or ignoring, with a reason).
- Workflows tab: the left pane has a Workflows tab listing your saved workflows.
- Cross-server notifications: the server picker shows a row of every saved server with a badge for open inbox items and a count of unread turn summaries, so you can see which server needs you without switching.
- Stop a running review: a review in progress can be stopped from its row in the transcript.
- Server setup commands: the Server and Settings checks show the command to run for a missing requirement, with Copy and Run in Terminal buttons.
- Commit signing:
byre signing <checkout>turns on signing of merge commits made on your Mac. - Fixed task tab order: a task's tabs are always in the same order; the lead only chooses which one is selected.
Fixed
- Server picker: fixed the clipped server badge, the broken server switcher, a bright top bar and a messed-up tab bar.
- Stuck hands calls:
client_handsno longer hangs when you have more than one server connected. - Disappearing questions: an open question no longer vanishes from the transcript.
- Merge completion: clicking a merge-completion notice now jumps to the right place.
- Writing Tools: Apple's Writing Tools no longer pops up over the composer, answer box and line-comment box.

- Several servers in one window: connect to more than one byre server and switch between them from the picker in the title bar, or with Previous Server (⌘[) and Next Server (⌘]). Add Server… (⌘N) opens the connection screen; Forget Server removes one. Every server keeps running in the background and notifies you, and the saved servers follow your iCloud account to your other Macs.
- Window colour: each server gets a coloured border so you can tell them apart; pick the colour in Settings.
- Set up the server from the app: Run byre on this Mac first checks for git, Tailscale (signed in, with HTTPS certificates on) and at least one of claude, codex and agy, and lists anything missing with how to install it. The Server tab shows the tools it found.
- Notes tab: what your lead has noted about how you work now has its own tab in the left pane, with notes filtered by project.
- Review models: choose in Settings which model reviews your tasks' work, and which reviews work the first one wrote.
- This Mac's permissions: Settings can test the Screen Recording, Accessibility and Automation grants agents need and ask macOS for any that are missing.
- Merge now, keep working: agents can land their work on main mid-task and carry on, and the lead can set a task to merge once its review finishes with no findings.
- Held merges: a merge requested while another merge is running in the same project waits its turn, syncing with main before it goes.
- Commit signing on your Mac: commits byre makes are signed with the signing key your Mac's git config names.
- Server updates itself: when the app is updated, the server running from it restarts onto the new version, and the app reconnects by itself while it comes back.
Fixed
- Status usage bars all line up.
- Stuck tasks: agent sessions that stalled on a failed tool call now recover.
- Review errors show in the transcript instead of leaving a review hanging.
- Question bubbles open the right question when clicked.
- Hands on a sleeping display: agents can capture the screen of a Mac whose display is asleep.

- Run byre on this Mac. The connection screen has a new button that installs the server as a launchd service from the app, using your login shell's
PATHto findclaude, codex, agy, gitandnpx, then connects to it. You no longer need a terminal to set up the server. - Server tab. The left pane has a new Server tab showing whether the byre service is running on this Mac and its
tailscale serveaddress, with a button to turn it off or on. - Gemini models through Antigravity.
gemini-*models (Gemini 4 Argon and Gemini 3.8 Flash, each at high, medium and low effort) now run on Antigravity as a third agent backend beside Claude Code and Codex, in tasks and in workflow stages. It needs the Antigravity CLI on the server's Mac (brew install --cask antigravity-cli, signed in once by runningagy).
Fixed
- Agents typing into the terminal now wait for the shell's prompt first, so the start of a command isn't lost while the shell is still starting.
- Messages with only an image no longer need a prompt.
- Reinstalling a running server (
byre install) no longer kills the agent that ran it, and the service restarts in the background.
