When lines for a single link merge, prefer to put a single label on the merged line portion rather than multiple labels on the split portions. The rule to reuse existing labels does this today if the first label happens to be on the merged part, but add a rule to make that more certain.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
